Can one of two required exterior receptacles be mounted 7' from house?

I have a feed through meter main (pedestal) 7' behind the house I'm building on a site that had a manufactured home many years before. The main service panel for the house will be in its utility room. Next to the pedestal is a post holding an outdoor receptacle that I'm using for my power tools. The breaker for the receptacle is inside the pedestal. Is there any reason I couldn't use that receptacle as the one that's required on that side of the house?
 
Here's the section Tom mentioned. Notice the use of the word at instead of on.

210.52(E) Outdoor Outlets. Outdoor receptacle outlets shall be installed in accordance with 210.52(E)(1) through (E)(3).
Informational Note: See 210.8(A)(3).
(1) One-Family and Two-Family Dwellings. For a one-family dwelling and each unit of a two-family dwelling that is at grade level, at least one receptacle outlet readily accessible from grade and not more than 2.0 m (6 1∕2 ft) above grade level shall be installed at the front and back of the dwelling.

Thank you, Rob, for pointing out the distinction made by the word at. That section was the basis for my question.

You're welcome as I stated it doesn't need to be on the front or the back it just needs to be at the front and the back. Next question, if it's within 7' is it at the location? :)
 
I really don't think the intent is meant to be off the building otherwise I would think they would have included a distance. Certainly this is an authority having jurisdiction call.
 
I'm sure there's some distance from the house that would be excessive, but the fundamental intent must be to prevent extension cords coming out doors or windows to do outdoor work on a given side of the house, and a receptacle 7' from the house would accomplish that goal.

My opinion is the opposite, that it need not be attached to the house, but I do agree with the AHJ suggestion.
