Can you track leads with Quickbooks

Actually, my wife set me up on Excel. I am trying to figure out a sales to lead ratio. In addition, I want to know distinctly which particular adds are generating my work. I advertise pretty heavily and I have slacked for years on tracking which were the big return on investments. I always ask where a customer may have heard of me but I never really did anything with the information.

It should work just fine in Excel. Excel has sort capabilities that are pretty functional. I bet most people use 5%-10% of what Excel can actually perform. If you have some time, a 2-day course at the local community college would be very beneficial.

Try the Quickbooks customer manager for tracking leads and phone calls. They can also be tracked in QB if you set up classes for different ad's and ask customers where they heard of you. You can then do a report on the different classes.
