Canopy Light Fixtures

Can you use 8' strip flourescent light fixtures under a canopy. They are rated for dry locations only. Had a canopy company install a canopy and the light fixtures. I felt they needed to be for damp location.

I would start in Article 100 "Locations, Damp" then move onto 410.4(A)

It sounds like a violation to me.
