Capacitor placement problem after service restoration?

Hi everyone,

I have a a question concerning capacitor placement.
Suppose you have placed a capacitor in a meshed distribution network that is being operated radially.
Now, due to a failure/disturbance service restoration is required.
How do you know that the point you placed your capacitors (fixed) is not gonna overcompensate or cause any problems?
