Any thoughts on why a dryer running would cause a car chargers output to drop significantly? I believe the drop is 15-20 amps.

You have a pretty fancy charger that detects incoming voltage and adjusts it's output accordingly. WAG.
Do you have a manual handy?

I found one online, but it's just a standard commercial electric charger.

15-20 amps drop on input current or on output current?

What is supply voltage loaded vs unloaded? Or with/without dryer running?
