I have motor control cabinet (MCC) for car wash but following is not clear:

For item side washer I have 20A breaker from 480V three phase going to side washer. I also then have #14 AWG wire from MCC to side washer

All motors are like that as described above conductors going to the motor from regular panelboard and then another conductor #14 AWG from MCC to the motor

MCC schedule does not show any overcurrent protection or breaker so not clear how #14 AWG is sized.

Has anyone wired car wash controller MCC and how they are wired, wire sized and how regular panelboard fed from utility come into play?

#14 on a 20 amp breaker is not necessarily a red flag. As stated above, a whole lot more detail would be needed.

Should be going from the breaker to the mcc, then to the motor. If the motor has an internal temp switch, it may also have wires from it going back to the mcc.
