I was wondering if anyone is familiar with how many cat 5e or cat 6 cables can fit in 3/4" emt and in 1" emt? As far as I know there is no code restrictions to the amount. I am most conserned for pulling purposes. I have to run 10 lines about 150' down a hallway. Looks are not an issue on this job at all hence the emt decision. There are a couple sadles and 45's to bend so I want to stay as small as I can comfortably since I am using a hand bender. Any info. is appreciated.

10 will fit in a 1" but you may be better off running two 3/4"s and splitting them up into groups of 5.
Cat 5 is not real tough and you may damage it when pulling it that far.
A typical spec for data raceways is no more then 180 degrees of bends between pull points.

The conductors are more than fragile, think glass. Be VERY careful on the pulls. I would split them up also and have the 2 pulls.
Are you going to land them or the IT guy? You may need to tone out each cable to verify integrity after the pulls.

yea. cat5 is not a real tough cable. some of the industrial cable makers have some stronger cables available. no doubt they are pricier too.
Yes, I was leaning towards running two 3/4" emt runs for this before I came on here just to be safe. I figured I would come on anyway and bounce some ideas off anyone interested though. So it looks like I will run the two. Also I am doing the terminations on these as well and I do have the testers to check the wires when I am done. I like doing pulling and the terminating that way if there ever is a problem with the wire I can only blame myself
