If I connect a CAT5e cable to a 24 volt dc elctronic device on the roof of a building, do I need to ground it? If so, what do you suggest?

Re: CAT5 grounding

Acardin, you mustn't leave CAT.5e or any shielded cable not grounded or it will become an antenna for noises.
See ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A-5
If you don?t need to ground the cable use UTP, It's much safer.
