O obo Member May 29, 2003 #3 Re: CAT5 grounding Acardin, you mustn't leave CAT.5e or any shielded cable not grounded or it will become an antenna for noises. See ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A-5 If you don?t need to ground the cable use UTP, It's much safer.
