Hey Canadians, (or would it be Eh, Canadians?)
the US NEC general provisions section 110.3(B) states, listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. Is there a similar clause in the CEC? If so, care to share a reference? I get involved in this issue on occasion, where people want to cut corners on how things are installed and think it's OK to ignore factory instructions. When they are in Canada, they tell me that the NEC is irrelevant and of course technically they are correct, but in general I have found that almost everything I find in the NEC is in the CEC somewhere.
