If they want to discuss the interconnection of electrodes, why name it after a pair of them? If the interconnection of electrodes are to be spelled out, what is relevance of the mention of earth in 250.68(C)(2)(c)? Why have we lost all other electrodes as a means of connecting electrodes together?

250.64(F) is still in tack and has not changed. This change was to clear up the misunderstanding that that 5 feet was part of the electrode when it is in fact just a conductor to the electrode.

It is like driving a 10 foot ground rod down 8 feet deep. How long is the grounding electrode? Answer; 8 Feet. Yes the rod is still 10 feet long but it only has 8 feet in contact with earth therefore only 8 feet of electrode.
