They have one at the University storage area warehouse unit. They are big and have been shown on the forum many times before.

I would imagine it is more than a one man job to hang that baby.

Oh well ... I did search first for it. Name was probably sensored.

Like Gilda Radner used to say "Neeever mind"

I wired 3 of these last year. they came with their own frequency drive controllers. The line side wiring could not be in the same conduit as the load side of the freak drive. The General contractor had some one install them, which was fine with me.

I am sorry I did not mean to cut you short. There is always some new info even if we had seen the fan before. We all like to express ourselves and I am sure newer members have not seen it so please don't feel slighted.

I would think their name wouldn't be good for business.

I just can't bring myself to spec. a "big ass fan" on a construction drawing.

Any idea what they draw? HP size of the motor? e/m

Anyone know how much one of those things costs?
I had to RFQ one a good while back, and it came in around 5K. There are many options to pick from, so the price can be all over the place.

They vary from 1 to 2hp. The 2hp motor on the 24foot fan delivers 337,774 CFM .At 460 volts it uses 3.2 amps and at 230V it uses 6.4.

I just installed one in a 24hr fitness center. It was only 12'. I understand that the larger ones are the same except for the blades. We had to add a little structural steel to hang it from. The motor and bracket were heavy. The blades were al and light.

I guess the pleasure is all after the install, when someone is standing there and asks you what exactly it is that you just put up. ;)
Definitely a "Who's on first?" moment.
