I carge my friends $50, if they help, less if they supply the beer. j/k

The company I work for charges an hourly rate. So depending on what is involved it can run $130 for a simple install to several hundred if I have to do attic work and fish wiring.

What do most of you charge to install a ceiling fan? HD will charge $138. The last one I did I charged $160.

If there's already a fan box in the ceiling, $200 to remove old fan/fixture and hang and assemble new one. If I need to replace a box, add $100.

If I need to install a new box and run a wire from the switch, figure another $150, more if there's too much attic flooring or crap to move.

Now, if there's a room above, it will be a lot more due to the need for extraordinary fishing skills, or wall patching skills, whichever is needed.
