I have two questions about how to comply with Article 700 when using a Central Battery.
- 700.5(D) says the transfer equipment shall only supply emergency loads. But a central battery doesn't really have transfer equipment. It operates in parallel with the incoming utility power at all times. Does this mean the emergency power supply can also support standby loads?
- 700.3(F) requires provision for an alternate source during maintenance. Is an internal bypass sufficient to meet this requirement?
