A customer asked if I can intstall a chandelier above his bath tub. 9 foot ceiling. Any thoughts? Thank you.

410.10(D) says no.

The bottom of the chandelier would need to 8' above the rim of the tub.

Since you are asking you probably know the answer. Steady, good customer, any permit involved? I did one on a job with a cathedral ceiling and the light wasn't installed when we had the inspection. What if you did it low voltage? I was surprised years ago when I discovered you could get many style bulbs (like candelabra) at 12 volts.
