Changing compact fluorescent lamps

Sorry to post this type question on the NEC board but I am wondering if there is an extension pole on the market for changing out vertically mounted compact fluorescent lamps. I have an application above a stairwell that is next to impossible to reach by any other method than a scaffold. Not very cost effective for changing lamps. Any Ideas?
