Chat ASK AI

Merry Christmas
Ahhhh, this "AI" crap is infesting everything. Seems like everytime i use a website or app theres some worthless annoying "AI" response, summary or other crap.
Going through drive through at a fast food restaurant:
Me: regular Burger, small fries, and iced tea with lemon
AI order taker: Ok, triple burger, large fries, and a lemonade
Me: NoOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Specific use AI has a long way to go in many instances as well. Places that use AI for answering phone calls- all they typically do is lead you in circles in most of my experiences. Some won't let you speak to a representative at all anymore, the AI is determined to help you with whatever you called for.
Even for requests that are stupidly simple, they lead you in counterproductive circles. Like asking to reschedule a delivery date, and all it tells me is the delivery date that's currently scheduled, or misinterpreting the date for the tracking number. Or it tells me I "can't edit" a bill-of-lading, when I just said that I already took care of it in my PDF editor, and I just need a place to send the corrected document.

I had an part for my mini excavator arriving via Fed-Ex maybe about 15 months ago. Item stopped moving according to tracking site in a Kansas City area location. Normally when an item reaches that facility I get it delivered the next business day. When it stayed there for a few days I wanted to have some action taken to see why it hadn't progressed. Found out then you can not talk to a person anymore with Fedex. no matter what I tried it kept bringing me back into a loop from where I had once been in the automated menus. The most it would tell me both on phone or the on line tools is "your package may still be on it's way. even after it was two weeks after expected delivery date.

Was a part I bought through Ebay. They wouldn't help me initially either- again mostly AI interaction. though after so long with no delivery they finally credited my purchase. In mean time I ordered another part and it passed through same facility the first one was last tracked to before they ever credited my first item. Have no idea whate happened. My guess is they either lost it, damaged it, shipping label became illegible, or something of that nature. Was kind of hoping it ultimately would be delivered, then I'd have a spare part. Was a track idler roller and those are always going bad. Cheapest option is get some chinese made ones from Ebay. Can't even buy bearings it needs for the price of the whole assembly let alone they are kind of a pain to disassemble and if you let them go to long they probably need some machining work done or you won't be using them again.
