Chicago (ratcheting type) bender question.

Has anyone here had any luck bending ocal/robroy pipe with a chicago bender?
Would like to buy one but i need it to also bend 3/4 and 1"ocal. Greenlee says
theirs does not bend it.

even if the shoe fits, i think your main problem will be the roller on the bottom side
will snarf up the vinyl coating... bending with a one shot bender, you have the
shoe following... i think having a roller with that much pressure concentrated
will split the robroy...

The greenlee 555 with the proper shoe set is your best bet.

With the proper set up, a little yellow 77 lube on the shoe helps.

and the best set up for threading is a rigid 300 or 535 with the proper jaw inserts.


They do the least damage to the coating.
