I'm looking at an existing structure that is going to be converted into a child care facility.
Looking at the code, all I see is that the receptacles have to be TR receps (406.12C).

Is their anything else I should be aware of besides this, code-wise?
I'm not yet sure how many kids it will be setup for or whether there are other State rules (licensing) about Child Care Facilities.

Thanks!

I believe with child care facilities there are strict lead paint rules. If the building is old enough to have had lead paint, you are limited in how many sq ft of wall penetrations you can make. I don't remember the agency responsible for enforcing this.

check and dble check all A sheet elevations on devices and such (like dispensers in the restrooms). its going to be wee people height...

In TN the rules vary with the number of folks occupying the building. Fire alarm systems along with other Fire marshall regulations kick in I believe at 25 children.

Yeah, I need to look into the state rules. It is going to be a state licensed facility, I don't know the child capacity.

It's mostly a concrete structure. They're going to add some partition walls that will be standard 2x4/Sheetrock construction. Is there anything that keeps me from using NMB in those areas...? I'll double check our state codes also.
