Chiller Disconnect

New chillers are being installed and have a disconnect switch that is in the control cabinet. Do we need a separate disc that will keep all power from the unit in sight of the chiller?

If the chiller includes a disconnect switch, I see no reason to provide another one.

What effort is required to gain access to the disconnect ?
440.14 states the disconnect will be "readily accessible".

Chiller is a broad term. Cabinet chiller? Coolant chiller?

Is it mounted as a separate unit?

Is it powered from the main control unit?

Components typically don't need a separate disconnect. They can usually use a common disconnect such as the one on the exterior of the control cabinet.
