Looking for opinion on what to list as the actual running load for this chiller.

My thought is use the 172.8 kW/.8pf x 1.25 for a continuous kVA load.

It appears they established the minimum circuit ampacity of 323A by the following

172,800 / (480*1.73) = 207.8 /.8pf = 259.8 x 125% = 324A (they show 323A)

the .8pf was assumed as it is not listed on the cut sheet.

Curious what others think.

Thanks for looking

Are you trying to figure a transformer size or give the utility a number so they can size the transformer?
or are trying to recalculate the MCA ?

For transformer sizing i'd use this:
Operating Condition Electrical Data
Compressor kW 156.0
Total Fan kW 16.80
Total kW 172.8
For MCA we need to use UL 1995 I think

Is there a need to use anything other than what was provided on the cut sheet? Your number and their number are pretty close.

Actually trying to determine the amount of power it requires as it will be connected to a stand-by emergency generator. It will be on a VFD so starting current is not as much of a concern although still needs to be accounted for. I know its the start up current that really affects the gen size I was really just curious of the actual kw it will take from the generator once the chiller starts and is running. The generator has not been sized yet either
