I am doing a small job in two stages.
The first stage is a dwelling soon to be constructed. The second stage is a garage which will be constructed in the future. The garage is about six feet from the dwelling.
I intend to wire from the dwelling to a weatherproof junction box on the outside wall of the dwelling. Later, when the garage is to be built the wiring will be connected to the junction box and extended underground, in conduit, to the garage.
Is this permissible or is it an NEC violation?
