Circuit Identifying NM-B

How common is this type of NM? Who makes it or how do you get it? An old photo from a new work home in 2010.

A few NM cable companies did that for a while back then, but they dropped it. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I guess the Sharpie habit dies hard.

Actually it's made by Encore. I had to get in there before Master the NEC corrects you.

I think it was primarily marketed to the manufactured home industry. But we use it here.
Personally I still write the full description with my sharpie on the jacket.

I saw some of that stuff in my area a while back, too. It stock, not special ordered. I don't think we ever took advantage of the markings.
