I have 15 rooftop HVAC units with 60 amp 3 phase disconnects. A WP GFCI receptacle is mounted on the outside of the Disconnect in a bell box chased to the disconnect. A 120V circuit comes along with the feeder circuits to the disconnect, but passes through to feed the GFCI receptacle.
The inspector is requiring that we install labels on the disconnect stating that the HVAC disconnect will not shut off the GFCI circuit as it is fed from another source.
We have been doing this ever since the requirement for GFCI's at HVAC equipment became a requirement and have never had to do this.
Is this a new requirement? I don't see it in the code anywhere.
Anyone help me out on this?
Thanks
