Does 400 HZ distribution change the rating for protection of a circuit using a class CC fuse or it the 50/60HZ rating of the fuse not allow these fuses to be used on 400HZ circuits?

I know that 400Hz affects the magnetic portion of breakers. I do not know if there is a similar effect on fuse elements. 400Hz usually has lower values of available fault current.

The 50/60Hz rating for the fuses says they are not suitable for DC applications.

I've read that the skin effect can begin to influence fuse operation above 100 Hz. The manufacturer of the fuse being used would need to be consulted about the effect of 400 Hz on their fuses.

Where does the supply come from before it is converted to 400Hz?
