Does anyone make circuit tracer that really work good. I have bought many different types that don't see to work well. I am ready to spend the dough in order to get a real good one I can count on. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Jamie-

Lots of them work, I generally find it is the users lack of experience with the particular device that causes issues.

Amprobe at-1000 or similar is the one our company uses. It works well on energized circuits. It is the best I have used. I do know the cheap Ideal one is not that good. I have used the amprobe one in hospitals and find breakers no problem. If you have to make sure you have the right circuit you can take the panel cover off and set it to trace the wire to be sure you have the right one.

Pasar P23 / T23

My dad, partner at the time bought a Pasar model P23 / T23. He purchased it over twenty years ago. It's made in the USA, or atleast was. I have never used a better circuit tester and have watched it out preform many others. I have no idea what he paid for it but it has been invaluable. Of all the tools I use on a project this is the one I make sure gets back in the truck.
