While doing some research on aluminum, I came across this definition of "Low Voltage". Does that look right to you ?
Low voltage "any voltage not exceeding 600 volts", still widely used like that today but its been bumped up to 1000V to be compatible with IEC standards.
That 1974 book is a neat find do you have a link to it? I always wondered what year the transition to the NEC from ICBO ( formerly
Pacific Coast Conference of Building Officials) happened. I guess it was '74. I have the '65 LA city electrical code in my collection.
