Portions of this area are still under 2017, others under '23 so some clarification would be appreciated).
Under the '17 Code under 210.11, at least one 20 amp branch circuit is required to supply receptacle outlets in a garage. This circuit shall have no other outlets (other than the ones allowed by exception). 210.52 required at least one receptacle outlet in each bay no more than 5-1/2 AFF.
Correct interpretation (?) no lighting outlets but a garage door outlet would be allowed on this 20 amp circuit provided it did not required over 50% (10 amps) ?
Under the '23 Code On single bay garages, an exception would allow lighting outlets and other utilization equipment rated at not more than 50% to be supplied by that circuit ?
