Was wondering what other peoples take is on this installation, installing a thermocouple extension cable in a class one division one location inside a rigid metal conduit with all appropriate seals, does the cable have to be rated for C1D1 and if so where are you reading this requirement.

The cable itself is simply part of the raceway wiring method. [Section 501.10(A)(1)(a)] Wire/cable doesn't require a separate listing for Class I, Division 1 where used with threaded RMC or IMC.
