I working on selecting an enclosure for a Class 2 Div 1 Group G. It would house a terminal strip for some RTD sensors and an intrinsically safe sensor. The RTDs are currently not intrinsically safe rated or on an intrinsically rated circuit.
Does this need to be in a Class 2 Div 1 rated enclosure do to the voltage potential being under 30 volts and possibally falling under the Power Limited or and ITC cable?
From what I am seeing the enclosure has to have threaded boss connections. Is there product out there to add these to a NEMA 4 Cabinet such as a Meyers Hub.
If there is not is there an enclosure that would fit this application in this environment?
If the system was all intrinsically safe would a standard NEMA 4 enclosure with dust tight fittings work in this application?
Any help or guidance would be appricated.
