In addition to my light fixture post concerning Class 2 Div 2 environment, I've got a question about a Dusttight Switch that was illustrated in a Mike Holt Guide to Special Occupancy that I have (see attached).
502.115 Switches, Circuit Breakers, Motor Controllers, and Fuses
(B) Class II, Division 2.
In Class II, Division 2 locations, enclosures for fuses, switches, circuit breakers, and motor controllers, including push buttons, relays, and similar de-vices, shall be dusttight or otherwise identified for the loca-tion.
In the example from MH's guide to special occupancies, he is showing using a just a bell box with gasket and cover that is 3R rated. I don't believe 3R is equivalent to dusttight and I haven't seen a bell box that had a dustight rating. Does any have any experience with this for Class II Div 2?
