What classification would the area directly behing a grill/burner unit/ deepfryer be?

Everything is going to be under 1 hood with 2 exhaust fans.

In other words it is not a classified area per the NEC.

So, plastic boxes and NM cable are allowed. That doesn't seem right.

All that grease in the receptacle, I have to be missing something!

Just use an in use cover If they can survive as the ahj has said being right on the porch in a home with ball throwing kids.certainly they can withstand a boiling fryer or a meat burning grill
