I get mine through a MA contractors association.

When I get it through them it has the MA amendments installed in the front of the NEC.

I'll get it on discount when 2014 comes out. NYS will probably start referencing it a few years later than that, that'll give me plenty of time to brush up on it. :)

Maybe the real question should be...

Since most jurisdictions may not start referencing the '08 for a couple of years, are you going to purchase an '08 NEC?

This may be the first year that I do not go out and buy one in Sept. This way I will not have to worry about the Errata.

I am buying mine tommorrow in Alaska. :)

I buy one for myself that I use when I teach, and my office buys me one for my truck when I inspect. I will also buy the electronic version to use when I teach.

Just because NYS is still referencing the '99, I do not see how you can say that...

Yeah, you're right. I was figuring it'd take NYS 8 years to acknowledge the 2008 cycle, but in reality it's probably more like 10. The residential code should reference the 2008 about a year after 2017 comes out. :)

It is a company expense, but all these expenses effect my take home pay in one form or another. I will purchase a minimum of 5 or 6* for myself and several more for the employees.

1. Bathroom Home, maybe a 2nd one for downstairs bathroom.
2. Bathroom Work.
3. Night stand adjacent to my bed.
4. Living/rec/TV room book case.
5. Office.
6. Truck.

I don't understand the first option:

It is a personal expense to me !

How is that possible?
If one has any reason - that is job related - to purchase a code book, it's a write-off....just like boots, tools, pencils and paperweights :)
Are there people that just like to read lenghty works of non-fiction with no apparent plot :D
