Well there is that, but it can be overcome with enough Can Do Attitude and some doughnuts and fresh coffee for the inspector.

LFMC already has a slightly lower fill than the same trade size EMT so if you used the EMT at the maximum fill then the LFMC would in most cases be overfilled even if the trade sizes were the same. If you use a piece of LFMC that's 24" or less then your fill goes up to 60% so you might get away with a piece of 1/2" at the end of the 3/4" EMT run providing it's 24" or less.

agree - I the only inline reducers I know of are PVC in which a rigid conduit could be reduced to a flexible conduit only if the fitting is approved for use on both raceway systems

I think I have on occasion seen a coupling that fits one size of RMC or EMT and a different size of flex.

Over time I have seen many 3/4 EMT connectors used to connect 1/2 flex:roll:
