Code calculation for T-body fill factor

Does it matter?
Yes
a calculation using the markings on the conduit body
For that calculation you'd use either a conductor count of 4 or 6. E.g. if the marking is (3) 4/0, and the wire size is 2/0, that works out to at most (4) 2/0. So either the install would be compliant (using a count of 4), or it wouldn't be compliant (using a count of 6). But as per my last post, looks like a count of 4 is correct.

My thanks to the covey of experts who analyzed this! As a non-electrician but pretty technical person, I have to say that given its key role in safety, the NEC could probably use a comprehensive set of examples to aid the in-the-field installation in being consistent with the reasoning of the code writers.
