Thinking 70/30? don't know for sure.
you'd have to ask, and see.... but my experience has been that unless it's
a large amount, by the time i've chased it down, i coulda made more money
just by going to work... :-(
i did have one guy once who was the customer from hell, and then the check
bounced for $2k....
it was a chiropractor, and i took the dead check, (i didn't deposit it, but was
hammering it at the branch it was drawn on) and went back to the office,
parking a long econoline in the driveway sideways, with flashers on,
and walked in the front door, and he was standing in the waiting room
chatting with half a dozen patients, and he piped up, "how's it going,
slick?" in a smartarse tone, and i replied, "it was fine, until your check
bounced".
it was a quiet moment. got a new check on the spot. i suggested that
if he didn't want me back there in 20 minutes, it had better be solvent.
it was. not even an apology, mumbled or otherwise.
it's been a year and a half, and i got a call from him last week,
saying those bulbs i put in have started burning out, and where
does he get a 65w. par 30.....
a rocket scientist, indeed he was.... gotta remember to return that
call tomorrow... maybe just go over there and change them for free..
after all, it's been a year and a half.
