The panel's reason is that white and gray may look too much alike after some time has passed.

that is very true don i did see it few spots where the white and grey look very simuair color over the time.

i useally take a voltmeter and test to verify it correct voltage because some case i never trust the netural will end up with wrong spot.

is there a way use something like white wire with red stripe on it ?? it will be nice to quickly indetifty the netural at 150 and above volts.
