So I open up a junction box that used to be the cabinet for a panel and find the neutral bar still in use to combine all of the 12 gage neutrals together. Yes I know it violates the code. Now how do I tell the client that the four new circuits will take longer to wire because I have to redo all of the neutrals in that cabinet in order to make single circuit neutral paths? I HATE BATTING CLEANUP BEHIND HACKS!

Tom, is this an abandoned panelboard now being used as a junction box? Are these "neutrals" or "grounded conductors" that did not get ran with the ungrounded conductors to another location?. etc,etc?
