Commercial Service Main Disco Location..

Hey Everyone,
I have a Commercial service that will have a cold sequenced 200A fused disco. The panel being called out on the drawings is an MLO. I believe the cold disco meets the requirements of 230.70. However, for some reason (which is usually the case for me), I feel that a service disco on the load side of the meter is required. I suppose this is because the cold disco is technically in the PoCo's world? All Equipment is in the same building. Disco/ meter are outside and the MLO is inside. I also feel that the bond should be moved to the load side of the meter should it be concluded the MLO become an MCB panel.

Cold sequencing through a wrench in the gears of what we call service disconnect. There is some recent language somewhere in art. 230 that addresses this. You're on the right track.

The disconnect looks like a service disconnecting means to me. I wouldn't change a thing.

It can be considered a meter disconnect and not service equipment. One location I work in, if it is non fused then it is a meter disconnect, if it is fused, it is considered your service disco. But YMMV based on your utility and AHJ.
