Commerical water slides outdoor

I have commericial water slides outdoor. The slides empties into pools see snapshot below. Each slide has pump to pump the water.

I am confused as to which NEC 2017 Article would apply to something like this? Anyone that did this please help me out

I think that 680 would cover it.

Part I. General
680.1 Scope. The provisions of this article apply to the construction and installation of electrical wiring for, and equipment in or adjacent to, all swimming, wading, therapeutic, and decorative pools; fountains; hot tubs; spas; and hydromassage bathtubs, whether permanently installed or storable, and to metallic auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, filters, and similar equipment. The term body of water used throughout Part I
applies to all bodies of water covered in this scope unless otherwise amended.

How does NEC 2017 Article 680.26 apply it says the equipotential bonding required by this section shall be installed to reduce voltage gradients in pool areas. There is nothing regarding bonding of slide pump to equipotential? Also there is nothing in NEC 2017 Article 680 about GFCI protection for water slide pump?

Although splash pads & slides are not specifically addressed, IMO, 680.21 for motors and 680.26 for bonding would seemed to cover the pump and all metallic components

The code cannot cover all of the very specific applications. These systems are designed by engineers and often the grounding and bonding requirements far exceed anything in Article 680.

No grounding and bonding provided by engineers.

I am not sure if splash pool or activity pool is considered swimming or wading pool??

Also would not NEC 2017 Article 682 apply if not 680?
 
680.21(C)

(C) GFCI Protection. GFCI protection is required for outlets supplying
pool pump motors connected to single‑phase, 120V through 240V branch
circuits, whether by receptacle or by direct connection.

Inground permanently installed pools. Does not distinguish between commercial or residential.

I would put a water bond on both of the pumps.

You'll have to get together with pool contractor and have the pool their plumber provide a fitting for an inline water bond. I would suggest the Permacast PB-2008. Your bond wire that hits all the motors and other devices will be part of this water bond.

If the support legs for the slide are metal and within 5' of the pool water, you must bond them. Anything metallic for that matter on the slide within 5'

680 applies for the parts it says is does, so part of your project has pools. I don't see 682 applying to anything like this.
Splash pads were added to the definition of fountains in the 2020 code.

If there is no bonding and grounding on the plans, simply reject them and tell the designer to provide grounding and bonding details.

Rejecting plans based on what NEC 2017 Article 680?

Reject because designer has shown you NOTHING to base a review upon.

Request them to state what articles they are basing the design upon and provide a detailed grounding and bonding schematic.
Do not jackpot your EI and more specifically the EC who is left trying to figure this out on the fly.
