ON CFLs ive noticed that they seem to burn out more frequently on motion sensors. Faster than incandescents. has anybody else notice this problem? maybe turning them off and on reduces there shelf life.

Check if your motion sensor is labaled to be used with fluorescent or not. Most of those are built for switching tungsten(incandescent) loads only.

can you guys give a price range for the inductive lighting..I have been doing research and parts house does not have the fixtures would like to make sure I don't get ripped..in the frigid north the solar thing is not so common and long periods of darkness don't seem to be conducive to efficiency..

Hazardous location induction luminaires cost double of the metal halide. The price should be lower now because I've bought these a while ago and since the market became more competitive.

I recently received quotes from Crouse-Hinds and Appleton for their Induction lights with globe, guard and reflector (No guarentee that I am not getting ripped off, everyone wants to make money off of big oil)

Induction Light Fixtures
55W fixture which is similar to 70WHPS is $500-600
85W fixture which is similar to 100wHPS is $525-$650

We are also looking at a Dialight Class 1 Division 2 LED light fixture they are also in the $500-600 range.
