conductor size for 1600 amp feeder

I plan on supplying a office with a 1600 amp feeder and plan on par. conduits but can't decide on wire size. It's a 480v Y, 4 wire terminated with compression lugs on each end.
Thinking of 4 - 500mcm cu thhn in 4 - 3 inch conduits. Any thoughts?

4 sets of 500?s would only be good for 1520 amps (380 X 4). You would need to use 4 sets of 600?s for this installation. See 240.4(C)
