NEC 300.5 D2 talks about protecting conductors to the point of entrance to a building from underground installations but can anyone point me to the code section area that may require nm cable with a jacket rather than solid THHN OR TW wire without a jacket to be used to connect outside wire to panel board breaker?
This code doesn’t say how wire is to be protected and the EMT that is outside the wall of building is not underground but connects panel breaker branch circuit to outside GFCI receptacles. Nor does it say jacketed NM cable has to be used to enter panel.
I’m thinking of putting an out door box to replace LB connector to EMT but what is to be done behind box to hole in outside wall? Causing, small section of EMT with bushing at end between wall, threaded fitting with bushing? I have not seen anything specific in NEC so far?
Here’s a picture of previous set up with just THHN (not wet listed) entering wall from receptacles outside via EMT
