I do not have much experience working with conduit. I have 1/2 rmc that I need to pull a number of conductors. What is the best approach? Do I use the fish tape to pull 2 or 3 at a time? Is it best to pull more conductors or less? Should I use a string to pull the conductors?
What do you recommend?
Thanks.

pull them all at once. its such a small pipe how many conductors are we talking about? how long a run? you can use a string or the snake itself to pull.

All at once!

All at once!

Pull the conductors all at once, use lube & use IMC instead of RMC...it has a smoother interior.

Sparky's right about the IMC. We never use RMC unless specified. Always try to pull all of your conductors at once, that is the easiest. If you pull conductors seperately you risk nicking the conductors (insulation) already in the pipe with the ends of the wire you are pulling or the end of the fish tape. You can also burn or rub the insulation on the conductors already in the pipe because of the friction of the wires against each other.
