I have a situation where several circuits leave the panel board from the OCPD enter an event timer where the timed outputs re enter the panel board of origin and exit through a conduit from that panel board. The customer want a similar set up at a different location. I could not find reference to this and just want to know if it’s allowed?

As long as the "comings" and the "goings" are in the same nipple, they equal out just like a hot and neutral.

I know it's accepted practice and its been way too long since I've had to study "theory" but that doesn'tmake sense to me.
If the switch is closed it seems like its just the same current flowing thru the conduit twice and it would not equal out.
Normally the current is so small it would not make a difference.
Guess I need to dust off some of the old college books.
