You will need to purchase the conduit body and use the cover if it’s PVC. Malleable covers are available separately.

I agree with Tom I haven't seen the PVC covers sold separately. I never understood why all metal ones don't come with covers although some manufacturers are selling now them complete with the cover.

Well ,can I put a metal cover on the plastic conduit ? .I've installed 2 boxes I have already glued an wired inside ..thinking hey,I can get a replacement cover..an can't find it alone .which is really crazy when metal ones are easily replaceable ..

There are options for metal covers used on iron conduit bodies, raised, steel covers with clips no screws to corrode. PVC lbs are much less expensive so mfgs don’t offer seperate covers

Let us assume the metal cover fits the footprint of the PVC, how are you bonding that cover to the EGC?

I have no actual cut wires in them so no grounding needed- right there.-its grounded at the fixture an switch..The sharp 90 degree turns with that conduit ,an with 2 different ones gave me a perfect fit an turn, verses the curved bent pipes.
Yea I can buy 2 more an use the new covers, though I have a few metal covers lying around..
Was just curious if it's allowed.
Thanks

None of which are likely to fit without some modification.

Even covers from other PVC conduit bodies likely do not fit as is unless you have one from same product line as the original.

Cast conduit bodies generally come with a cover and you can not purchase a cover separately either.

The iron conduit bodies you usually need to also purchase a gasket separately if you are using in an environment where you need a gasket.
I don't know if there is much for cover options these days other than the standard blank cover but years ago I think it was more common to have covers with receptacles in them, or even a rosette for a pendant cord to enter. Seen both those things on some old installations.
