total wire area #4AWG= .0824(in2) x 4=.3296 .3296 + .0211=.3507
total wire area #10AWG= .0211 x 1=.0211

CH 9 T4
over 2 wires 40% (in2) 1” = 0.346 to small
1 1/4” = .598 is the one u want

But over two wires only allowed forty percent fill... scuse me, live conductors...

but if you used the emt as your ground conductor think you could do it..just no 10 wire... that took you over the size.

Let's wait until the OP posts his numbers.
Ok.., I was right, I think, just did it slightly different but still.. pulled the 40 percent fill for the emt from the one table, then calculated the wire sizes, then checked to see what the next size showed when wire was too big for his first size.

but, am I right that using EMT one can drop the grounding wire, the number ten in his case, and be fine? Mostly work with pvc so always need my grounds, but..
