Greetings all when roughing-in supplementary conduit protection for line voltage floor heating systems, do you install two conduits one each for the class-2 temp probe and another for the 'cold lead' cable?
Or just one conduit for both?
I have seen it done both ways in the past, most instructions say to use conduit but then just say to follow local codes.
the Ditra instructions seem to indicate using two conduits EDIT they say either way.
Thanks in advance.

Your instructions say one or two, so the choice is yours, but both should be sleeved.

Cutting a notch or two in the wall bottom plate helps.

This is just a personal preference but I would use 2 separate conduits. The one for the T-stat should be in it's own conduit and not run in the same one as the heating lines.

I agree 2 conduits or as we do sometimes is to use carflex. Pvc works well with 90's on the end.. Notch the bottom plate and the subfloor and the tile guys will appreciate it.

We used to install 2 T-stat sensors as a safety measure and leave one disconnected in the T-stat box.
