While an air gap between two different structures may not be a "structural joint", I think 300.4(H) addresses similar movement concerns, so that would be a good starting point.

I am reviewing a plan that has exactly the same issue. 4' between structures. My only concern about spanning 4' across two structures is that we are in seismic design category E and earthquakes are COMMON here in the foothills of San Jose, CA. When a significant seismic event the two structures are unlikely to move in concert and the raceways will be displaced. I don't see a problem with using LFMC as long as they don't exceed 6'.
