Conduit installed on fence

Use your EMT as the top rail of the chain link fence. It's pretty much the same thing. Would that be legal?

Can conduits be installed on and suppoterd by a chain link fence?

EMT?
Rigid?
PVC?

I think the size of the conduit would make a difference. I wouldn't feel too warm and fuzzy installing a 3" conduit on a chain link fence. 1/2" and 3/4", no problem.

Like others mentioned, make sure your customer owns the fence.

I think 4" RMC would look goog along the top of the fence:grin:

I've seen it. 1" EMT supported by mini's on the post. It looked good for the first 2 years until frost heaving moved the post, and now you can see the conductors at several couplings. At one time I thought it was a good idea.

In a RMC/EMT size matching the post size - it looks like it was part of the fence....

One one I welded some strut to it to hang it, but IMO it looks just as good with #12 galvy tie wire... (if done neatly)
